Sorry to bother again.A while ago, I was questioning my restore the DB with RMAN from Prod to Standby and you said that I need to create a backup catalog of Prod, so I can do this
rman target=sys/passwordcatalog=rman/rman
1. I am puzzled how my standby rman knews where is the location of the catalog that Production created.Do I have to modify the parameters of rman (show all)of the Standby to point to the new location where RMAN of Product is stored?
2. When I did my RMAN of Prod (with full database) does that include the catalog also? or Do I have to rman backup it separately?
3.Do I have to use the "SET .. RENAME " to give the new place for the datafile? Can I used the current dir of the Standby for the restored datafiles?

当你的数据库连接到Catalog数据库时，所有的信息就知道了。

Catalog数据库最好是独立于生产数据库之外的，并且需要独立备份

如果从库和主库备份时的路径相同是可以的，否则需要指定恢复位置。

9i 9206数据库，出现enqueue HW等待，最后确定是在lobsegment段上，该段是blob字段类型系统生成的段，请问如何能够减少HW等待，何原因造成的呢？HW是由于更新HWM造成的等待吗？看了一些文章，说手工分配extent可以起到作用，表示不理解，分配区并不会移动HWM，HWM不是只有在HWM以下没有足够空闲空间时才会移动吗？

你好。两地灾备，通过Oracle10gDG来实现，如果灾备的Oracle要一直处于open状态（readonly），采用LogicalStandby是否可行？如果两地距离比较远（上百km），数据传输只是2M的，是否有问题。另说LogicalStandby不太稳定，不知你这边是否有这样的案例？

我在看tom的书《oracle 9i&10g编程》一书中第六章说到：删除父表中的一行可能导致子表被锁住，我对此话很奇怪，而我看书中的例子实际上是说明一个问题：修改一个不带外键索引的子表会堵塞其它会话对父表的修改。反过来我就有点不理解。而我始终没有找到修改父表会堵塞对子表的修改的例子。不知道能不能给我一点启示。多谢！
